As a Digital Marketing Intern at IDEA Foundation, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our online presence and engagement. You will manage our social media accounts, create compelling content for our website, optimize our digital content for search engines, and support various promotional activities.

Responsibilities & Duties

  1. SEO Optimization:
    • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for improving organic search rankings.
    • Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements.
  2. Assist in the development of link-building strategies.
  3. Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Moz.
  4. Website Promotions:
    • Help plan and execute website promotional campaigns.
    • Collaborate with the team to create landing pages and promotional content.
    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of web promotions and suggest improvements
  5. Social Media Management:
    • Manage and create content for IDEA Foundation’s social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Develop a social media calendar and schedule posts accordingly.
    • Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
    • Analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  6. Content Creation:
    • Assist in writing and editing blog posts, newsletters, and other digital content.
    • Design graphics and visuals for social media and website use.
    • Collaborate with the team to develop compelling and engaging multimedia content
  7. Email Marketing:
    • Support the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns.
    • Manage email lists and segment audiences for targeted communications.
    • Track email campaign performance and report on key metrics.
  8. Market Research:
    • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  2. Basic understanding of digital marketing principles and SEO best practices.
  3. Proficiency in using social media platforms and related tools.
  4. Familiarity with Google Analytics and other SEO tools is a plus.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Basic graphic design skills and experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus.
